Within two months from 6 March 2026, applicants must submit an application addressed to the Director of the Institute for the following doctoral position:
\nField of Higher Education 2.1 Philology (General and Comparative Linguistics) \u2013 one full-time PhD position. <\/strong><\/p>\n

Required Application Documents<\/strong>
\n1. An application addressed to the Director of the Institute, indicating the doctoral programme for which the applicant is applying; the foreign language chosen for the second entrance examination; and the issue of the State Gazette in which the announcement was published\/State Gazette No. 39 of 6 March 2026<\/a>\/.
\n2. Curriculum Vitae (CV);
\n3. Diploma certifying the award of a Master’s degree, together with the diploma supplement, or a notarised copy thereof;
\n4. Certificate of recognition of higher education, if the diploma was issued by a foreign higher education institution;
\n5. Declaration pursuant to \u00a7 5 of the Supplementary Provisions of Council of Ministers Decree No. 90 of 26 May 2000;
\n6. Applicants may also submit additional documents demonstrating their interests and achievements in the relevant field of research;
\n7. Proof of payment of the application fee in the amount of EUR 20.45, payable to the bank account of the Centre for Training at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences:

If the payment is made from an account that is not in the applicant’s name, the applicant’s full name should also be indicated in the payment details.
\nApplicants may receive their invoice when attending the language examination at: 125 Tsarigradsko Shose Blvd., Building 26B, Floor 2 or by contacting the Centre for Training.<\/p>\n

Applicants who have not yet received their diploma must submit a certificate issued by their university confirming completion of their studies. The certificate must indicate the applicant’s overall grade point average and the grade awarded for the defence of the Master’s thesis or the state examination.<\/p>\n

Applicants will be notified in writing whether they have been admitted to the competition. The notification will include information on when and where they may obtain the examination syllabi for the entrance examinations.
