Jubilee Research Session<\/p>\n

Modern Trends in Linguistic Research<\/i>,<\/p>\n

Dedicated to the 85th Anniversary from the Birth of Prof. Yordan Penchev.
\n<\/b><\/p>\n

The session will take place as part of the events at Paisievi cheteniya<\/i> 2016 (10 \u2013 11 November) at Plovdiv University.<\/p>\n

Prof. Yordan Penchev had worked on a wide variety of areas by combining modern linguistic theories and methods with deep knowledge of the native language. He is a natural successor of the work of his teachers and at the same time is a pioneer of modern linguistics in Bulgaria.<\/p>\n

The main achievements of prof. Penchev are in the field of syntax, semantics and intonation of the Bulgarian language. Alongside his main research, he also shared his views on a number of morphological problems – such as the problem of the system of the Bulgarian verb tenses and their meanings; the issues of the morphological category of definiteness, etc.<\/p>\n

Submitted papers should relate to issues of Bulgarian linguistics, to present original research and to reflect modern trends in linguistics. The registration fee is 50 BGN (€25). Expenses are covered by the participant’s institution.<\/p>\n

Application for participation: 30 September.<\/p>\n

Notification of acceptance of papers: 15 October.<\/p>\n

Deadline for submission of the final paper: December 15.<\/p>\n

The papers will be included in a collection published by the Academic Publishing House “Prof. Marin Drinov”. Technical requirements for formatting of the papers are published here<\/a>.<\/p>\n
