Bulgarian Software Companies Demonstrate Language Technologies

news-new-300x199The Conference is organised by the Department of Computational Linguistics (IBL, BAS) and is funded by the project “Support for the development of graduate students, post-graduates and young scientists” funded by the European Social Fund Operational Programme “Development of Human Resources”.

 

 

Bulgarian companies developing software and applications using language technologies, will exhibit their works at the first International Conference “Computational Linguistics in Bulgaria”, which takes place on September 4, 2014 in the “Hilton” hotel in Sofia. The exhibition “Language Technologies” includes an online system for text simplification to help people with autism, systems for content managements and more.

 

 

The main objective of the Conference is to consolidate the scientific community in the field of computational linguistics in Bulgaria and to contribute to enriching the knowledge and skills of PhD students and graduate students involved in the project. Scientists from different countries will participate – France, Serbia, Slovakia, Norway, Romania, Czech Republic and Ukraine to discuss with Bulgarian experts problems of practical application of computational linguistics in the field of processing methods languages ​​machine translation, compilation of electronic dictionaries, systems of maintenance of electronic language resources and more.
