The Bulgarian Dialect Map “speaks”

The Bulgarian Dialect Map, prepared by a team of researchers from the Institute for Bulgarian Language, now includes audio records of dialect speech from various regions not only within the state borders but also some which have long been outside Bulgaria, e.g. parts of the Aegean region, Macedonia, North Dobrudzha, the Western Outlands, etc.

The Dialect Map and the authentic dialects it includes will be presented on 8th December 2014, at 10:00 in the Musala Hall of Hilton, Sofia, at a press conference, organised as part of the project “Integrating New Practices and Knowledge in Undergraduate and Graduate Courses in Computational Linguistics”, beneficiary of which is the Institute for Bulgarian Language at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences.
