The Institute for Bulgarian Language will present an entertaining game to connect words of Bulgarian and foreign origin. The prizes include t-shirts and stickers “The written word remains. Write correctly!” – the title of the large-scale campaign of the Institute for Bulgarian Language to promote and support language culture. The winners of the Language Game „Play with the Words“.
Who organises the European Day of Languages?
- The European Day of Languages has been celebrated since 2001 when it was one of the highlights of the European Year of Languages. The Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe decided that this day would be celebrated each year to promote multilingualism.
- The event in Bulgaria is an initiative of the network of European Union National Institutes for Culture (EUNIC) and is organised in partnership with embassies and cultural institutes of many other countries.
- The European Day of Languages is included in Sofia Municipality’s Calendar of Cultural Events.
