The Campaign “The Written Word Remains. Write Correctly!” on 24th May 2017

The Institute for Bulgarian Language is happy to invite you to take part in the campaign “The Written Word Remains. Write Correctly!” on 24th May 2017 dedicated to the Day of Bulgarian Education and Culture, and the Slavonic Literature. For a third consecutive year you can visit one of the spots in the city centre of Sofia between 10am and 2pm on 24th May and to perform a short dictation in order to check your knowledge of Bulgarian spelling and punctuation and to show your respect for Bulgarian education and culture, Bulgarian teachers, researchers, academic and cultural figures.

The spots are:

  • opposite Sofia University in front of the Knyazhevska Garden;
  • at the exit of Serdika underground station at Sveta Nedelya Square;
  • at the South-East corner of the crossroad between Todor Aleksandrov Blvd. and Hristo Botev Blvd.

Young researchers from the Institute will help with advice and explanations about common mistakes. All participants will receive stickers “The Written Word Remains. Write Correctly!”. Find mistakes

Find mistakes all around you – on the internet, in shops, books, magazines, and share them with us on the Facebook page of the Institute.

The Campaign “The Written Word Remains. Write Correctly!” aims at raising awareness among students and parents, law makers, media, experts – teachers, researchers, university lecturers, institutions in the field of education, about the important role of education and science (including literacy) for the prosperity of society.
