Bulgarian Terminology and Terminography
The Department of Terminology and Terminography works on projects dealing with theoretical issues of general and Bulgarian terminology, and the history of Bulgarian terminology. The Department also compiles terminological dictionaries.
The main collective task of the Department is the compilation and edition of a series of dictionaries of Bulgarian terms used in different scientific fields. The following dictionaries have already been published: Dictionary of Terms in the Life Sciences (2006), Dictionary of Terms in the Humanities (2007), and Dictionary of Terms in Social and Political Sciences (2012).
The Department of Terminology and Terminography was founded in 1993 by Corr. Member Prof. Maria Popova, Dr. Sci.
