The Campaign “The Written Word Remains. Write Correctly!” in Plovdiv
The dictations continued on 3rd June 2017 in Plovdiv. This time the campaign “The Written Word Remains. Write Correctly!” took place in the 8th Pavilion of Plovdiv Fair. There were many members of the public who wanted to check their literacy skills. Among the participants were Viktoria Radeva – Under 12 World Chess Champion, Teodora Halacheva – the youngest MP in the new Bulgarian Parliament, many children and adults from Plovdiv. The only dictation without a mistake was done by an engineer from Plovdiv. The dictations were carried out by Nikolay Zhelyazkov and Georgi Dzhumayov, PhD students at the Department of Computational Linguistics at the Institute for Bulgarian Language, Borislav Rizov from the same Department and Petya Nestorova from the University of Food Technologies in Plovdiv.
A few days before that, on 31st May 2017, dictations were also carried out at St. Ivan Rilski School in Plovdiv.
