Ceremony for the Academician Vladimir Georgiev Fund Award
The official ceremony for the Academician Vladimir Georgiev Fund Award will take place on 16th February 2017, 11:00am, in Hall 207 at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences (Sofia, 1 15th November Str.). The ceremony is organised by the Institute for Bulgarian Language at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences and the <>13 Centuries in Bulgaria National Fund.
According to the renewed stature of the Fund since 2013, the award is annual and is awarded for individual and collective works, published in the last three years and constituting a significant and original scientific contribution to a certain area of linguistic research.
In 2014 the Award was received by a research team from the Institute for Bulgarian Language for their work Dictionary of Literary Bulgarian Based on the Vernacular of the 17 th. Century (on Material from the Tihonravov Damaskin).
In 2015 it was awarded to corr. member Emilia Pernishka for her work Local Names in the Svishtov Region.
In the 2017 contest four individual works took part, nominated by Sofia University, Veliko Tarnovo University and the Institute for Bulgarian Language.
