The research team of the project “The Cultural Identity of the Banat Bulgarians and Bulgarian Catholic Literature”, funded by the Bulgarian National Science Fund (Contract No. KP-06-N70/1), presented the results of its work. The project has produced more than 40 scholarly publications, including two monographs, two volumes of studies and articles, and a reader.
The Institute for Bulgarian Language “Prof. Lyubomir Andreychin” at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences is the lead institution for the project.
The event took place on 23 April 2026 at 4:00 p.m. in the “Prof. Alexander Teodorov-Balan” Hall of the Institute for Bulgarian Language, 52 Shipchenski Prohod Blvd., Block 17, Sofia.

The event attracted considerable interest. The audience learned more about the history, language and culture of the Banat Bulgarians and had the opportunity to listen to authentic recordings collected during the course of the project.
