The Institute for Bulgarian Language “Prof. Lyubomir Andreychin” is organising the exhibition “Following in the Teachers’ Footsteps”, dedicated to the 24 May Day of the Holy Brothers Cyril and Methodius, the Bulgarian Alphabet, Education and Culture and Slavonic Literature and to the 145th anniversary of the founding of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences.
The exhibition will be open to visitors in the foyer of the Central Administration of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences from 23 May to 30 May 2014.
We are pleased to invite you to the opening of the exhibition on 23 May 2014 at 12:00 p.m. The opening will be followed by a press briefing presenting the online dictionaries and reference resources developed by the Institute for Bulgarian Language, with a special focus on “The Digital Future of Bulgarian Language Studies”.
The exhibition features books and documents illustrating major areas of Bulgarian language research: historical, dialectal, and contemporary dictionaries; grammars of the Bulgarian language and works on grammar; dialect atlases; publications by prominent Bulgarian linguists whose professional careers were closely associated with the Institute; works by the current generation of researchers at the Institute; and the journals published by the Institute, displayed from their first issues to the most recent ones.
