For the tenth consecutive year, the Institute for Bulgarian Language “Prof. Lyubomir Andreychin” at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences is organising the Forum on Research Approaches in Bulgarian Language Education as part of the “The Written Word Remains. Write Correctly!” project.

The Forum focuses on sharing innovative and effective research approaches to Bulgarian language education.
It will provide an opportunity for researchers, university lecturers, school teachers, and Bulgarian language specialists to meet and exchange research findings, pedagogical strategies, and practical methods addressing the needs of contemporary Bulgarian language education.
The Forum pursues the following objectives:

to establish a network bringing together Bulgarian language teachers and language researchers in order to promote linguistic research and scientific achievements among those who inspire a love of the Bulgarian language;

to foster closer cooperation between Bulgarian language teachers and language researchers, enabling a better understanding of the challenges of teaching Bulgarian and encouraging the development of diverse approaches to addressing them.
The overarching goal uniting all participants is:
- To foster students’ research mindset.
For the second consecutive year, the Forum will include a Special Session for Teachers and Students, dedicated to new technologies and their application in teaching and learning Bulgarian.
The session is funded under the National Programme “Education with Science” (Agreement No. D01-172 of 18 September 2024 between the Ministry of Education and Science and the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences).

The remaining sessions will address, but will not be limited to, the following topics:
- Good practices in applying research approaches to Bulgarian language education;
- Developing students’ critical thinking through Bulgarian language teaching;
- Encouraging students’ creativity in Bulgarian language education;
- Opportunities and challenges of online communication for students;
- Artificial intelligence and its applications in learning Bulgarian;
- Strategies for overcoming language difficulties through innovative teaching approaches.
Following peer review, the papers presented at the Forum will be published in the journal Bulgarian Language and Literature, issued by the Az-buki National Publishing House for Education and Science.
