An Afternoon with Viktor Topalov

The Institute for Bulgarian Language “Prof. Lyubomir Andreychin” at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences invites you to meet Viktor Topalov, author of “Bohemian Sofia: The Spirit of the Old City” (2022) and “The Writers’ Neighbourhood” (2024), and co-author and compiler of “Bohemian Sofia: Stories from the Yellow Cobblestones” (2021). He is the recipient of the Sofia Municipality Award for Outstanding Achievements in Culture in the category of Literature. The discussion will focus on Viktor Topalov’s research interests and on the activities of the digital platform Bohemian Sofia, established on his initiative. The platform’s main objective is to explore archival materials and promote Sofia’s cultural heritage from the period between Bulgaria’s Liberation and the end of the Second World War.
